About Me

My name is Rylee West Anderson. I am a tattooer, a father, and a reptile enthusiast. I have been tattooing for 13 years but I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. My interest in tattooing started when I was about 10 years old. My Dad was a biker and all of his friends always had these gnarly biker tattoos that inspired me to be a part of that sort of counterculture and I realized that my art could be a great way to facilitate that. Having a “regular” job never appealed to me. I didn’t want to work in an office; I wanted to create art and work with people from all walks of life. When I began my tattoo apprenticeship in my senior year of high school, I immediately felt like I had found what I was meant to do. I was fortunate enough to be able to get high school credit for learning to tattoo instead of going to a regular work program and I attribute a great deal of my success to having that opportunity.

My artistic style is heavily based on my personal passions. I have been a reptile keeper for about 20 years and have dealt with countless exotic reptiles. My expertise with reptiles has translated into my art and allowed me to develop a strong ability to draw and tattoo snakes; which has become a niche of mine that I really enjoy. I specialize in black and gray tattooing but am open to color if I feel it is right for the piece. I also enjoy Japanese themes, custom lettering, and anything that relates to nerdy fandom (i.e. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Occult Mythology, and the Witcher series). I am extremely passionate and enthusiastic about my work and aim to give each of my clients a piece they will be proud of.
